Building software is the easy part. Keeping it going is the hard part: funded, growing, reaching new people.

Today I'm happy to share that Progress Planner is [joining Your.Online](https://your.online/bringing-ai-powered-online-possibilities-to-every-entrepreneur/). And it's not just Progress Planner: Marieke, our whole team, and I are joining too. I'm coming on as Group Head of AI & Growth, and Marieke as Group Head of Brand & Community. We'll work across all the brands in the group.

## The work nobody does

When we started Progress Planner, the idea was simple. A website is never "done." The work that keeps a site healthy is small, repetitive, and a little boring. Almost nobody does it, because nothing reminds them to. Progress Planner is the nudge. It turns that endless upkeep into something you keep up with, week after week. And lately we've taken it further: it now helps you from the very start, not just once your site is live, but from the moment you begin building it.

## A foundation to build on

To grow into what it should be, Progress Planner needs a foundation under it: people, infrastructure, and a reason to keep investing for years, not quarters. Your.Online is that foundation. They're a hosting group with strong European roots and a simple belief: hosting should do more than keep your site online. It should help you make it better. That's the same bet Progress Planner makes. Now the help lives where your site already does, instead of somewhere else you have to go find.

## One spoke of a bigger wheel

Here's what I keep coming back to. Hosting is a commodity. Hosts compete on feature sheets that no real customer reads. What helps you isn't another gigabyte of storage. It's whether the thing you pay for gets you somewhere. So that's what we want to build, across the group. Not one host, but many: local brands that know their own customers and help them succeed, at every step. Part of our job is helping those brands too, with their own branding and marketing.

That means helping people get online in the first place. AI has dropped the barrier to building a site to almost nothing. It means support that's genuinely good. The moment something breaks is the moment you decide whether to stay, and more and more, AI does the heavy lifting behind a real person. It also means helping you get found. People now find you through ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI overviews, not just ten blue links. And it means helping your site keep getting better long after launch. That last one is Progress Planner.

## European values, for the wider world

We're building all of it with European values, for the wider world. I think the line between where your site is hosted and what helps it grow is about to disappear. Your host should know what your site needs next, and help you do it. Most hosts are nowhere close. That gap is the opportunity.

## The part I love most

For me, this is the part I love most: taking something from an idea, to a product, to a real home where it reaches far more people than I ever could alone. And this time I get to do it with the team we've built, and with Marieke leading alongside me. Nothing changes for the people using Progress Planner today. There's just a lot more behind it now, and a [much bigger plan](https://your.online/from-enablement-to-intelligence-the-next-phase-of-ai-within-your-online/) around it.

More soon. For now: onwards.
